Car Care Aware Saturday Event – April 17, 2010
JACKSONVILLE, FL
As part of Car Care Month activities nationwide, The Parts House and Parts Plus Car Care Centers partnered to offer a Free Car Care Awareness event at the St. Johns Town Center. Motorists were offered free 40 point vehicle inspections and were able to learn more about the benefits of performing scheduled vehicle maintenance and needed repair.
“These free vehicle inspections can disclose potential safety and operational problems because of deficiencies such as low brake fluid or under-inflated tires,” said Jay Acree, Marketing Director of The Parts House. “Nine out of 10 vehicles going through check-up lanes in 2006 showed consumer neglect. The top problem areas were motor oil, windshield wipers, air filters, belts and hoses and lights.”
